| HOW TO USE YOUR CHI MACHINE |
Congratulations. This is going to be one of the best things you’ve ever done for yourself. This machine has helped thousands of people with all sorts of health issues. Here are some guidelines: 1) Start slow. The timer automatically runs the unit for 15 minutes. When you turn the dial, the speed increases. Start at the slowest speed. Start slowly and allow the body to heal and strengthen with time. This is a powerful unit. Doing too much too fast can cause the detoxification process to speed up, and you could end up feeling sick. Start at 5 minutes. Monitor how you feel for the next 12 to 24 hours. If you want to lengthen the time, do so slowly. The most important thing is to lay still after the machine has turned off. This is where the benefits occur. The neural pathways have an opportunity to integrate the effects that the movements have had. Lay there for at least 5 minutes. When you get up, roll over to your side, then use your hand(s) to push up to sitting. 2) Monitor yourself. How are you feeling? If you are experiencing pain, stop the unit. Either call us or think about what is happening. Slowing down the unit will often be the best solution. 3) Body Position. Our bodies are not symmetrical. And so when you put your ankles onto the unit, sometimes it may feel like one side is different than the other. This is perfectly normal. If possible, do not wear shoes. You want to be lying on your back. If you have back problems, make yourself as comfortable as possible. Use a wrapped towel, pillow or bolster under your knees. Placing an eye pillow over the eyes will keep the light in the room from activating the optic nerves of the eye. This provides a deeper relaxation. You can also place a pillow or towel behind your neck. You want your neck to be long, without giving up the normal cervical curve in your neck. Place your arms at your sides, about a foot or more away from your body, palms up.
Other body positions: Once you are familiar with the unit, you can experiment with where you place your arms. There are different effects if you place your arms out to the side, or over your head. Just notice. It is much harder on your back with your hands over your head. 4) Relax: Enjoy the ride! Your body is going to move, starting at your feet. If you are relaxed, you will experience a wave from your feet all the way to the top of your head. This is the ideal motion. If you tend to be tight, or you contract your muscles, your body can stay rigid and not wave. If your neck is tight, it may not want to join the wave. Go slow to start with. As you speed up the unit, more and more of your body will be engaged. The ideal speed to be at is where your body is undulating from the toes to the head. If the unit is moving too fast for you and your body type, your head will not have time or space to move with the wave. 5) Drink water when you are done. You will be releasing toxins from the blood system, as well as the lymphatic system. These toxins need to be moved out of your body, otherwise you may feel uncomfortable later on. If you do feel pain, wait 24 hours before using the unit again, and consult a physician. Drink plenty of water. Do not get back on the unit. Most often, the pain will subside, and you will feel much better. If you have any questions, please feel free to call us at 503-774-7450. Enjoy!!!!! |
